People are cruel. That is the truth. People can also be compassionate. That is also the truth. One truth is ugly, while the other is attractive. But one thing remains constant. The truth. And the truth is fugly.
Even though I am an ordained Reverend, I admit I hardly know the Bible as I should. But one thing I have noticed is the constant references to the "truth".
The "truth shall set you free" and all. Jesus constantly refers to the "truth" in the New Testament over and over again. So the truth must be important. Look for yourself, you'll be amazed.
Today I watched Rev. Jeremiah Wright "live" and unedited speaking at the National Press Club. By this afternoon, the major media completely twisted, edited (again) and took Rev Wrights comments out of context. Trying desperately to make him seem like a "hater". This demostration of the media's ability to frame any statement made by anyone speaking the truth into a radical extremist is part of the plan to control your minds. You dont have time to listen to every speech. So you count on the media to give you a summary of what happened. When the media edits, frames, opines, and loops controversial remarks made during the speech, even Mother Teresa could be portrayed as Adolph Hitler.
It has become obvious that the major news media have abandoned any allegience to bringing you the truth. Unless it serves their interests. Today news is more entertainment than truth. Truth doesn't sell.
What Hanna Montana wore in a Vanity Fair photo spread is much more important than say...the frickin WAR Bush got us in the middle of!!! I watched the news all day today and all I saw were clips from Barack Obamas pastor Jeremiah Wright. All of it taken out of context and colored to make you believe Wright is a nutbar. I also heard of a storm in Suffolk VA that did quite a bit of damage. But not ONE single mention, let alone a story from Iraq.
I guess that's what you get from watching Fox news. What was I expecting? That all of a sudden they were going to tell me something I really needed to know, without trying to stimulate the fear and hate centers of my mind.
Fox news is dangerous. They've been so busy trying to tie Barack Obama to anything directly or indirectly that will get people not to trust the "half white" guy, that they forget the direct ties George Bush Sr.'s father and G.W.Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, WHO DID SUPPORT ADOLPH HITLER!!! That is a historical fact. Not EVER reported on Fox. Guilt by association???? Gimme a frickin break!! Obama's pastor MAY be a hater. George Bush's grandpa WAS a Nazi!
And Republicans didn't have a problem with that. They elected the grandson of a Nazi supporter. Can Barack beat that?? Can you say......fugly??

Yes Dave the truth is fugly & the sheeple must not have any inkling of the truth.. we who are awake have an idea about the truth & we are called crazy conspiracy nuts.
I agree with most of what Reverend Jeremiah Wright says in his "bombastic" style. White men have "raped & pillaged" the north american continent, they have flaunted their superiority over the lower classes, lesser beings - such as people of color, slaves, & women. I believe it is hard for white men to understand the feelings/experience of "us" inferior beings.
I say this as a white woman in my 50's. I have experienced the oppression, that supposedly does not exist any longer...

The worst type of racism is hidden racism. The reason is you cannot work with what you cannot see. Hidden Racism does a lot of damage because you don’t get the job because of your qualifications or some other reason. When in fact the true reason is because of your color.
